Dr. Tamara Berlino

Dr. Tamara Berlino graduated from SUNY Binghamton University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Applied Social Sciences. She received her first Masters of Science (MS) degree from Hofstra University in 2002 in Teaching, within the Dual Program, which includes both Special Education and Elementary Education, Pre-K-6.

Long Island University-CW Post conferred her second MS in 2005 with a concentration in Educational Leadership. In 2019, she graduated with her Doctorate of Education, also from LIU,  in the College of Education, Information and Technology, within the Educational Leadership Cohort.

She has extensive school building level experience from Pre-K-12th in General Education and Special Education settings and has conducted various workshops for families and staff members within the educational sector.

Positive Behavior Support (PBS) system in Early Childhood Education was the focus of her December 2018 dissertation titled Educational Leaders’ Perspectives on Obstacles to Implementation of Positive Behavior Supports in Preschool: A Phenomenological Study. Within the context of PBS she concluded that coaching was a significant factor in the increased success of such systems. Tamara brings extensive experience and knowledge in planning and time management to the team.

Having served as a school principal, Dr. Berlino knows what it takes to accomplish large-scale tasks, like dissertations! Her areas of expertise include qualitative methods such as phenomenology and case studies, especially as applied to education-centric dissertations.
