Sisira Lenagala | Analyst
Sisira Lenagala is a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) analyst having been involved with data collection, defense strategic analysis, operational planning, and decision making for humanitarian missions, natural and man-made disaster analysis, and geodatabase management in the Sri Lanka Army.
As a retired military officer (major) Sisira engaged in operations and human resource and leadership training management. He has extensive experience in strategic planning and leading large high-performance teams in accomplishing missions and time-critical engagements, providing leadership, oversight, and controls to ensure success. Sisira is well-experienced in geoinformatics tools for decision making, including expert-level knowledge of ArcGIS, GeoApp, and ERDAS. He holds a Master’s of Science in Geoinformatics from Colombo University, Sri Lanka, and a Bachelor of Science in Military Studies from Sabaragamuwa University, Sri Lanka. In 2012 he was awarded the Rana Wickrama Padakkama Combat Gallantry Medal, equivalent to the U.S. Army’s Army Cross.
